Hi, just thought I'd let you know, that I too, have been stuck with my own knitting needles. 2 of them in fact. I fell against my project bag, and was afraid to pull them out! They were in pretty deep - couple of inches anyway, but eventually I calmed down and pulled them out thinking they would bleed like crazy, and they didn't bleed at all!
Yes I had an up to date tetanus shot. It was painfull, but we sure laugh about it now! It was amazing that I found someone else who has been stuck too! Now I use circular needles...............don't like those metal ones anymore!

Hi Kari... Thanks for stopping by! So glad another hot chocolate lover found my blog. Yes, I've got to dig this book back out and start posting recipes again.

There are tons of knitting tutorials on youtube and other places, to learn knitting and different techniques and stitches you need for projects. The internet is a wealth of information so totally underestimated and underused.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing. Mine passed away a long time ago. I have the regret of not getting interested sooner and sharing this art with her while she was alive.

Oh, there are TONS of knitting and fiber related podcasts out there... something for everyone's taste. I find that my taste varies with my mood... the music is different on each, and the people are just different, so look around for yourself, too. If you use itunes, that is also a great way to browse podcasts. Just search "knitting" or some other term.

Yes, please do keep checking back for updates to my blog. I don't write as often as I used to, but I try.

Hi there! Ironically I was looking for a picture of some hot chocolate to post on my own blog when I stumbled on your website. I just purchased a "teach yourself knitting" kit just the other day, and your website is fantastic! Makes me really excited to start learning. My grandmother recently passed away, and she would knit and crochet all the time. I want to keep the art going, so I'm teaching myself. I also subscribed to the podcast you mentioned. I hope to continue reading your blog, if you don't mind. Have a beautiful evening!
